Long time atomican, Gramyre

Atomic Million Dollar Drive

Atomic is once again host to a social experiment and a charity drive in the shape of Gramyre's 'Let's Prove What Atomicans Can REALLY Achieve...' thread.

The stickied thread hopes to prove the old adage "if one million people gave one dollar each there would be one million dollars for X charity," X charity in this case being Foundation 5M for multiple sclerosis research.

Gramyre says the thread is more social experiment than charity drive.

"I want people to participate to get the internet world motivated rather than just giving $1 for charity," she said.

"That said, I have been with the Atomic community since day 1 (check out my user number!) and know that we are an intelligent and caring bunch of people. We do look after and out for our own and we are always willing to help those who are also willing to help themselves."

The ambitious plan includes a web page, donation tracking system and a widespread media campaign.

Gramyre also hopes to involve student unions all over the country in the drive.

She says she has been pleased with the Atomic response so far.

"There is still a long way to go before launch (though that is only a couple of weeks away) but the atomic community have embraced the idea and are running with it," she said.

Gramyre said she chose Foundation 5M because she has multiple sclerosis herself. "I respect and am motivated by the idea of us people with MS doing it for ourselves."

The thread can be found here.

Atomic moderator Lambo

Brave Bottoms Bared

The phosphorous tans of Atomic members have been on display for almost a month now in a wildly successful thread in the Green Room.

The author of 'Atomican Sexiness Follows', Ms Ekstasis, tells this reporter that the thread aimed to get Atomicans to 'connect' and get closer.

This thinly veiled excuse to get into Atomican pants was all that was needed for scores of members to strip off and get their funk on.

"I'm very interested in putting a 'face to the name' with the people around here, and making it sexy just adds to the fun," said Ekstasis.

"Making it sexy is always fun."

Ekstasis said that she was surprised at the popularity of the thread, a response no doubt engendered by such features as Nitro.vo's man sack and MrFriendly's bare-bottomed capering.

The action was joined in by Mods and newbies alike.

Moderator Lambo, who posted a steamy shower photo, said the thread was a way for Atomicans to get to know each other, possibly in the biblical sense.

"Atomic is different from other forums or internet communities, sometimes it's good to share insights into our lives, whether it's pics of our everyday lives, or in this case a sexiness thread," he said.

"Since 99% of communication between Atomicans is via the forum medium, posting pictures, parts of your life etc is a way for people to put a face to a name."

'Atomican Sexiness Follows' is the most recent chapter in an Atomic tradition of threads exalting the stunning beauty of members.

Studies based on previous threads have shown that 98.6% of Atomicans are bits of hot tottie.
